About Us
Many of your neighbors ski at Beaver Meadow and the grooming is currently supported by the city's budget. As such, you yourself may already be a patron of Beaver Meadow skiing. Also, dozens of residents have pledged additional support to our effort to improve the conditions at the golf course, so this is truly a community campaign.
However, there is a core group of folks spearheading this initiative. If you'd like to get involved too, don't hesitate to reach out at our email address.
Sam Evans-Brown
Sam is the coach of the Concord High School Nordic ski team. Previously he raced for an NCAA division 1 team, and still can't resist the urge to jump into competitions and embarrass himself. He spent ten years reporting on environmental issues for the local NPR member station, and recently has moved into clean energy advocacy.
Julianne Gadoury
Julianne is an avid outdoor endurance enthusiast, who for many years had a strong loathing of long winters in New Hampshire. After learning to cross country ski in 2016, she fell in love with the cold and the white stuff, and soon was skate skiing, downhill, and backcountry skiing. Julianne also loves all things New Hampshire, and supporting Ski the Beav brings together multiple of her passions.
Susan Woods
Susan has had a successful career in corporate finance, but the outdoors are her passion. She and her family have been involved in every aspect of skiing in central New Hampshire: parenting, coaching, racing, grooming trails, and (most importantly!) serving on volunteer committees.
Matt Cahillane
Matt Cahillane has been involved in building the Concord Community for more than two decades. An avid endurance athlete and public health advocate, Matt jumped into the work of improving access to local Nordic skiing in the Capital City with both feet.
