Game Art

Skillz is first and foremost a gaming platform so game art and assets are a big part of the visual identity. In this section we'll explain how to use App Art and Game Elements.

App Art

App art includes the actual game app thumbnails that we utilize when speaking about multiple games or featured games.

When we want to make our gameplay or players the focus, we can use a transparent logo treatment (with video footage only).

Game Elements

Game elements include objects and characters from games. They are used when speaking about a single game at a time. Game Elements can be used in more immersive ways.

Isolated Game Art

These are isolated Game Art elements that we use as stand-alone imagery or in an "Emoji" style alongside text.

Game Art Emoji Treatment.

A single Game Art Object can be used in large scale over text.

App Art in Screen

App art in screen can be used in compositions with photography. The phone cases change color depending on their context.

When in proximity to a gradient, the phone case will feature the same gradient.

When multiple phone cases are shown, they will align to the white or black background of the composition.

When a singular phone case is featured NOT in proximity to a gradient, case color should be eyedropped from the Game Art.

GameObjects and App Art in Screens can be used in the same composition.

Shapes & Patterns

To be used when communicating without photography. All graphics were created from the shape language of the logo and work to communicate four different categories: Achievement, Competition, Community and Partnerships.

Gradient colors used in the shapes and patterns can be changed. Refer to the color section for approved gradients.
