CTE Pathway Opportunities

12th Grade

Ohio Virtual Academy's Career Technical Education (CTE) Program teaches career skills students need to be successful after high school. In addition to core courses required for graduation, students' electives allow them to explore different career fields and gain skills that can help them be successful in the workplace and in college. Whether students intend to go to college, are working in their career field now, or plan to start their career right out of high school, the occupational programs offered can combine passion and interests with the skills needed to compete for jobs in high-demand fields.

OHVA's State Approved CTE Pathways

2024-25

All of OHVA's CTE Pathways are eligible for a 12th grade start. As a senior, you will take one CTE pathway course (as specified in the details for each pathway below).

If you decide a CTE Pathway is not for you but would still like to earn an industry credential, please consider the Senior-Only RISE Up credential option.

The CTE pathway course you take will count as elective credit towards graduation requirements. In addition to coursework, students in our CTE program have many opportunities to further their skills through opportunities that include:

Work-Based Learning (WBL)

Industry Recognized Credentials (IRCs)

Career Tech Student Organizations (CTSOs)

WebXams (Ohio's state end-of-course exams for CTE courses)

Career Portfolios

Regularly Scheduled Career Development Sessions

If you determine that a pathway is a good fit for you after viewing the pathway details below, the next step is to apply to OHVA's CTE program.
