Who should attend?

This workshop will be of interests to participants who:

Have had no, a little, or heaps of experience in sketching
Want to develop tools to improve their research processes
Are interested in helping produce a tangible visual record of ICT4S2018: Visual ICT4S
See that ICT4S has the potential to make a positive contribution to a thriving world:
- Want to transform ICT4S, identifying relationships and pivot points
- Or are quite happy with the difference they are making and want to communicate it in a different way.

Hand-drawn sketching is often viewed as challenging due to an inherent belief that visual thinking and production is something practiced when young and is hard to achieve as an adult – because drawing is difficult. However, hand-drawn sketching can be learned at any age and is not an innate ability or extraordinary coordination. A big chunk of the day will be spent doing exercises in sketching for science - led by an experienced practitioner.

This workshop is an adaption of format successfully used at DIS 2017, and at NordiCHI (https://sketchinghci.wordpress.com/) both led by Dr Makayla Lewis and Miriam Sturdee.
