Picturing our way towards ICT4S

Sketching ICT4S will bring together like-minded practitioners and researchers to co-create a visual, sketched manifesto for sustainability in computing .

The workshop aims to:

Discuss the potential contribution of hand-drawn sketching to ICT4S
- Exercise and discussion to explore the idea that hand-drawn sketching is not just about drawing, when researchers sketch, they talk, they interact and they collaborate. Thus, we aim to answer: What is the significance, benefits and pitfalls of hand-drawn sketching in ICT4S? We will ask attendees to form groups to brainstorm ideas and then compare and contrast the results.
Collaboratively develop a visual library of tools and techniques for sketchnoting the ICT4S conference.
Through a series of exercises, develop the confidence to use sketching in ICT4S
- Agree on plan for sketchnoting the ICT4S conference
- Logistics
- Agreed papers to capture
- Agreed process of collation, editing and production of Visual ICT4S conference proceedings.

Sketching ICT4S is part of ICT4S 2018 which is held in Toronto May 14-18, 2018. The workshop itself is scheduled for the 14th May.
