For this year's BTV, St John Ambulance crews will again be staying at Deakin Waurn Ponds.
Each member will have their own room for the duration of their shifts, and rooms are not shared with other members (aka hot-swapping).
Room allocations will be provided when members arrive onsite. All members have been allocated accommodation for the night period before and the period after their shift/s. If you do not require accommodation before or after your shift, please reach out to the command team.
Reminder: All members must proceed to the accommodation - even if they are not staying overnight.
On event days members will be transported to and from the event site by our transport officers.
All shifts should meet at the accommodation meeting point ONE HOUR prior to the start of their shift, ready for departure to the event site.
All linen (sheets, blankets, pillows, towels etc.) is provided, and all rooms are secure and comfortable. We do suggest members bring their own pillow though, for a more comfortable sleep.
There are large fridges and freezers in each unit (in the shared kitchen), as well as cooking appliances. Communal laundries are located near the units. Washing machines, dryers and ironing equipment are available free of charge (laundry supplies not included).
The accomodation managers will not be onsite at the accom 24/7 - check in is available between 09:00-10:00 and 16:30-18:00 each day.
Each day the accomodation managers will be available in the designated check-in house (FNH) to provide you with your room designation and keys.
If you require check-in outside these times, please email the command team, or call the accomodation managers on 0458 466 377.
ACCOMODATION MANAGERS
Looking after you at the accomodation, and transporting you on- & off-site, will be Ballarat members, Gaye and Pete McColl.
Those of you who attended BTV 2023 would know how amazing it was to have Pete and Gaye as our camp Mum and Dad, and that is why we have invited them back again!
