Project Description: Our goal for this project is to develop an iPhone application for usage by NJ Transit employees working in the field near train lines. The app will inform them of their location relative to the nearest rail’s mile-markers using GPS. The app will also potentially provide the users an efficient way to contact a train dispatcher and let them know the current location, so trains can be properly informed of pedestrian presence near/on the rails.
