The Sisler CREATE Film program is a unique post-secondary film training program with opportunities that you won't find anywhere else, such as:

• For Manitoba residents, it is FREE! 

• Earn money in the program by creating content for broadcasters and/or clients, and competing in video contests with cash prizes.

  • • How much a student can make depends on their personal skill development, initiative to take on projects that earn money, and their ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Past students have typically earned anywhere from $1000 to $5000.

• Network and make connections with many of Winnipeg's top film and video professionals.

• Spend a year working creating content alongside their classroom peers, often leading to creative and business partnerships that endure well after the program ends.

• Have the opportunity to explore potential careers within the film and video production industry in a safe, low-risk setting before investing tens of thousands of dollars in other post-secondary training programs (if they choose to pursue further studies).

• Students that do go on to further post-secondary training come in as leaders able to add to an already high level of skill, rather than coming in as a complete beginner, thus making the investment much more valuable.

• Develop a professional portfolio and resume.

• Students have the opportunity to learn how to manage client projects as a freelancer.

• Students have the opportunity to receive Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) in some of Red River College's programs.

  • • Students must meet certain requirements to receive RPL.

• Students have the opportunity to receive scholarships for further post-secondary training.
