For this walk-through, imagine a basket built from the Sniper line — the f/1.2 autofocus primes for APS-C mirrorless, available in 23mm, 33mm and 56mm, which work out at roughly 35mm, 50mm and 85mm equivalents. The same logic applies to a Night Walker cine lens, a Vision Prime, an anamorphic from the Saturn or Venus series, or a carbon fibre tripod and video head.

Run one: no code entered

Without a code, the sequence is short. You choose your products on the official store, confirm the mount option on any lens — Sniper primes come in Sony E, Fujifilm X and Nikon Z, while other series may offer L-mount or Canon RF — then open the cart and continue to checkout. You enter a shipping address, pick a shipping method, and pay.

The order summary shows subtotal, shipping and the final total. There is no discount line at all, because none was applied. Everything else about the order is unaffected: the one to six year limited warranty covering certified repairs for manufacturing faults or defects still applies, as does the 30-day returns policy for items sent back in good working condition.

Run two: SAVE70 applied at checkout

The second run is identical until the order summary. There you look for the box labelled "Discount code" or "Gift card or discount code". Some theme versions of the storefront also show a discount field in the cart drawer, in which case you can apply it a step earlier.

Type SAVE70 exactly, with no spaces before or after, and press Apply. Shopify codes are case-insensitive in practice, but stray whitespace is a common cause of failure. The result you are looking for is a discount appearing as its own line in the summary, with the total recalculating beneath it. If the line does not appear, the code has not taken effect, regardless of what the box looks like.

No account is needed for this run, and there is no special landing page to enter through. The only meaningful difference in effort between the two runs is the few seconds spent typing the code.

What changes and what stays the same

Between the two runs, only the discount line and the final total differ. Product selection, mount availability, shipping destinations and delivery method are unchanged. The store ships internationally in both cases.

Import charges and duties are the part most likely to catch people out. These vary by location and are not affected by any code, so they sit outside the comparison entirely. A cheaper order total does not guarantee a cheaper landed cost if duties are assessed separately on arrival.

Warranty coverage and the 30-day returns window are the same either way, so applying a code does not trade away after-sales protection.

Where the comparison is incomplete

Sirui does not publish one blanket rule set covering all its promotions, which means some of the comparison cannot be settled in advance. It is not stated whether bundles, new releases or clearance stock are excluded from discounts, nor whether more than one code can be used on a single order.

The store also runs a loyalty scheme where credits are earned with every purchase and redeemed for savings. Whether those credits stack with a discount code is not stated, so if you hold credits it is worth checking both combinations on the live checkout rather than assuming.
