Sina Shokoohyar is Assistant Professor of Decision and System Sciences (DSS) at Saint Joseph’s University. Sina earned his doctoral degree in operations management from Jindal school of management at University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and completed his M.S. in systems engineering at Sharif University of Technology. Before starting the PhD program, he worked as business analyst and software developer.
Dr. Shokoohyar research focuses on developing decision analytic tools that can be implemented in ride-sharing platforms (e.g., Uber, Lyft, …), tourism industry, new product development project, and supplier evaluation systems. His research papers have been presented in conferences such as the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORM), Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (MSOM), Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), and annual behavioral operations conference.
