Mindy is a seminary student at Luther House of Study in Sioux Falls, SD. She began seminary in January of 2022 and is nearing the end of her studies.
As she eagerly looks forward to ordination, she often reflects on the path that brought her to the congregations of Sinai and Lake Campbell. Ministry was always in the back of her mind, but with three small children, Mindy set it aside for a while. As the children grew and that nudge into ministry could be ignored no longer, she began seminary in anticipation of the calling God had placed on her life. Mindy did pulpit supply for Sinai and Lake Campbell for approximately 16 months before beginning her 9-month internship. In September of 2025, she received a call from the congregations to be their full-time pastor. She graciously accepted, and is currently serving under a contract call which will become a certified call upon graduation and ordination.
Mindy looks forward to continuing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, ministering to the congregations in various ways, and caring for the people in all of life’s ups and downs.
Mindy and her husband, Andy, have three children - Katie, Andrew, and Jonathon. They homeschool their children and love the extra family time that it gives them. They live on an acreage outside of Menno with sheep, cattle, rabbits, poultry, two dogs, two house cats, and a plethora of farm cats.
Mindy enjoys volunteering with their county’s 4-H club, watching her children play sports, reading, writing, singing, listening to music, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.
