At Simpson College, we take pride in the places we train, compete, and recover. From our on-campus stadium to nearby indoor training access, weight rooms, and athletic training support, our facilities provide everything student-athletes need to reach their full potential.
Buxton Stadium is where we train, compete, and build day by day. It features an eight-lane track, two jump pits, a pole vault runway, steeple pit, and all the space we need to get real work in. Across campus is our dedicated throws area, built for javelin, shot put, discus, and hammer. The momentum doesn't stop when winter hits, we head indoors to our throws facility, and Hopper Gymnasium.
Once practice wraps up at the stadium, the team heads over to the weight room. The strength and conditioning program at Simpson is built with a sport-specific focus. Every workout is intentional designed to build power, improve speed, and keep athletes healthy. From heavy lifts to mobility work, every session plays a role in the bigger picture. And the energy in here? It’s loud, focused, and built on pushing each other to get better, every single rep.
Competing your best means taking care of your body, too. The athletic training room is where our athletes recover, rehab, and stay healthy throughout the year. Whether it’s a quick stretch before practice or an injury recovery plan, this space and our athletic training is a huge part of what keeps our athletes healthy and performing at their best.
