Simmonarchy is currently reforming. This page is under construction!
Religion is a central part to Simmonarchy life. The Clergy have significant power over the everyday lives of the people and joining the clergy is the easiest way to gain power fast.
But be warned there is not much room for growth in the religious sect. You may be appointed archbishop or as a religious member of the Estates General but these positions are limited and you must be a true pargon of virtue to rise the ranks.
Members of the clergy are barred from the line of succession and cannot be a member of a house however may serve as a vassal to a noble or the King himself.
The ranks of the Clergy go as follows:
Archbishop: Head of the church of Simmonarchy. Appointed by the Pope and has supreme power over the church of Simmonarchy. The Archbishop is of the same rank of an Earl and rules over all church land in the Kingdom. Appoints the 2 religious members of the Estates General. Heads the Kings religious coronation and acts as chief religious advisor to the King.
Bishop: Powerful member of the Clergy. Usually 2 or 3 of these within the Kingdom. May be appointed to the Estates General and are legal advisors to other nobles and head coronations for these nobles.
Priest: Serves under a Bishop. Less political then other two roles and are in charge of preaching the word of religion to the commoners.
