Silvana Robone is Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Law, Economics and Social Science (DIGSPES), University of Eastern Piedmont (Alessandria). She also serves as Vice-President and Member of the Board of Directors of CORIPE Piemonte and as Member of the Board of the PhD Program at the Department of Economics of the University of Insubria
She was awarded the National Scientific Qualification to function as Full Professor in Italian Universities in the scientific sectors 13/A1 (Economia Politica), 13/A2 (Politica Economica) and 13/A3 (Scienza delle Finanze) on the 06/12/2023, 28/08/2018 and 26/07/2018, respectively.
Her education includes a BA degree in Economics and Social Science awarded by Bocconi University, two Masters awarded by Bocconi University (one in Economics and one in Economics and Management of Public Utilities) and a Ph.D. in Economics awarded jointly by the University of York, UK and the University of Bologna, Italy.
Silvana has been employed from 2006 to 2012 as Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics (CHE), University of York,. She has been Assistant Professor (Rtd A) at the Department of Economics, University of Bologna, since 2012 to 2014, and Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Insubria since 2014 to Jan 2024.
