Hannah Joycelyn Abrams
I am the free spirit behind the art, Hannah Joycelyn, and I create to explore the innate struggles and triumphs that define the human experience. My work is an exploration of hidden emotions, expressing my curiosity about the depths of the soul.
I’ve been creating my whole life, but my artistic journey began in 2016 when I painted my first piece on canvas at the age of 10. Art has always been calling me, and creating is an instinctual method of survival. For me, my art is a necessity, a spiritual practice woven into the fabric of my being.
My art style is deeply personal, combining elements of surrealism with tangible symbols that express the emotions I often struggle to put into words. I capture moments of transition, introspection, and the invisible forces that shape identities. My work is rooted in spirituality because I believe, as a human, I am inherently spiritual.
The stories of my ancestors, their footprints on this earth, guide me as I navigate my own path. They remind me that knowing where we’ve been illuminates the path up ahead. My work carries this lineage, offering a bridge between time
In the end, I hope my art brings a sense of belonging to those who view it. I want others to understand that their identity is valuable, ever-evolving, and worthy of being celebrated. I hope that through my work, viewers can find a deeper connection with themselves, their inner child, and with the greater Spirit that connects us all.
