Whether you are trying to understand the influences on our valley's nature, to further an interest in its natural habitats or gain an understanding of nature recovery issues and programmes the 'learning hub' is here to support you . Welcome to the interactive side of "The Wild Side of Sidmouth".
The 'learning hub' offers a relaxed and informal way to get up to speed on what is happening to the natural world in the Sid Valley and around the town itself. There are various options available from a guided learning forum to using our on-line AI driven knowledge base for your specific questions and much more.

They say "You are never too old to learn"! No matter your age you need to keep yourself informed about important matters. This website is focused on the natural environment of Sidmouth, the factors influencing its natural world and the steps being taken to aid the recovery of nature which has been so badly depleted in recent years. Whilst it is a resource one can dip in and out of on a 'need to know basis' those with a particular desire to know more may benefit from the options presented within the 'Learning Centre'
The 'Guided Learning' programme is an easy paced, home based, relaxed way to gradually explore the entire content of this website in 'bite sized' pieces! It is quite simple, you sign up for free and you get an email every three days or so with a link to an item on this website. You click the link, read the page and then go back and, if you need to, ask questions, make additional points and discuss the topic with fellow learners.
The 'Community Hub' is the glue that holds the 'Guided Learning' programme together. It is where you will find the introduction page to the latest texts and where you can interact with other learners through the 'comments' system or engage with other activities that might be appropriate for certain topics. It is a good place to find links to previous items you may have missed.
The entire content of this website, along with some other available resources, are contained within an underlying knowledge base contained within Google's Gemini Notebook structure. Using this publicly shared 'notebook' anyone comforabale with using AI chat methods can ask questions using the 'chat' function and also generate various graphcal, audial and textual articifacts including study notes, revision quizzes and flashcards.
The "Wild Side of Sidmouth" follows several local nature conservation groups for their latest news and information. As the "Wild Side" does this by following them on our Facebook Page you automatically get the posts from all of those groups in one easy step by following the the Wild Side of Sidmouth page.
