Hi! I'm Siddhi (she/her). My name is pronounced a bit like "city". Here is my CV.
I'm interested in low dimensional and geometric topology. In particular, I study 3- and 4- dimensional manifolds by studying the geometric structures they admit, as well as the knots and surfaces they contain. You can read more about my research interests here.
You may know me from:
Columbia University, where I am an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow and a Ritt Assistant Professor. My scientific mentors are Mohammed Abouzaid and Francesco Lin.
Georgia Tech, where I was an RTG postdoc for the 2020/2021 academic year. My scientific mentor was Jen Hom.
Boston College, where I was a graduate student advised by Josh Greene.
my claim to fame.
I co-organize the Columbia Geometric Topology seminar.
I founded and co-organize the Columbia postdoc seminar.
I organize the Columbia Undergraduate Mathematics Colloquium, which features research talks by non-Columbia mathematicians. More details here!
I spoke at the Combinatorial and Gauge theoretical methods in low dimensional topology and geometry, a birthday conference celebrating Paolo Lisca (June 2-7)
I spoke at the "What's your trick?" BIRS Workshop (Aug 4 - Aug 9, 2024)
I'll be speaking at the Harvard topology seminar on November 15th.
I'll be speaking at the 2025 Redbud Geometry and Topology Conference.
I'll be speaking at the “Low dimensional topology and Floer theory” workshop (Montreal, Aug 25 -- 29, 2025).
I'll be speaking at the SLMath "Connections Workshop" (Jan 21 -- 23, 2026).
