RINGRAZIAMENTI DEI FELLOW:

Dopo aver vissuto queste due intense settimane in Giappone ci teniamo a ringraziare sentitamente la SIAGASCOT e la JSOA.

Grazie per averci permesso di spendere un periodo della nostra vita a contatto con un altro popolo, un’altra cultura, un altro modo di pensare, di vedere e di fare ortopedia. Il confronto è uno degli aspetti più belli del nostro mestiere. Abbiamo portato le nostre idee e ne abbiamo prese in prestito altre. Abbiamo stretto una forte amicizia tra noi e con persone provenienti da tutto il mondo. Grazie a questa esperienza abbiamo qualche conoscenza in più e molti ricordi da raccontare.

LA TESTIMONIANZA DEL NOSTRO FELLOW:

Ho avuto il piacere di essere ospitato per questa fellowship a Bordeaux, presso la Clinique du Sport con il dottor Nicolas Bouguennec.

Il centro si trova a Bordeaux-Merignac e consta di moderni edifici, tra cui le sale operatorie del centre de l’arthrose, quelle per la chirurgie du Sport, il centro di Biomeccanica ed una innovativa palestra per la riabilitazione e la raccolta dati sugli atleti operati.

È un centro riconosciuto nel mondo, ma soprattutto in Francia ed è riferimento per la chirurgia legamentosa.

Per questo i volumi di chirurgia sono stati enormi…penso solamente al “pazzo giovedi” di sala col dr Graveleau dove dalla 8 alle 16 ho preso parte a 12 ricostruzioni di LCA.

Direi che il soprannome di “LIGALAND, la land du ligaments” calza a pennello a questo centro!

Il dottor Bouguennec (anche se mi ha intimato di chiamarlo “Nicò”, con accento alla francese...) è stato un padrone di casa eccezionale. Mi ha preparato un piano per la mia fellowship che ha spaziato dalla chirurgia legamentosa del ginocchio, vero core della mia visita, alla chirurgia di caviglia, passando per la protesica robotica di ginocchio ed anca.

Sono stato coinvolto nella discussione di progetti scientifici, che saranno l’occasione di mantenere i contatti con questa fantastica realtà.

…e poi la sera a cena il vino non era niente male!

Appena rientrati dalla Forte SummerSchool 2024 a Spalato.

Un'esperienza stupenda che ha permesso di approfondire le tematiche presentate da una faculty di livello e di confrontarci con colleghi internazionali.

Con tutti loro abbiamo potuto discutere i casi clinici, condividere progetti lavorativi ed esperienze di vita e stringere amicizie.

Un sincero ringraziamento alla SIAGASCOT per averci dato questa opportunità di crescita umana oltre che lavorativa!

L'esperienza del Forte Summer School è stata stupenda.

Two GOTS member will be travelling in Rome, Turin and Naples this year, and next year 2 SIAGASCOT member will be host in Germany for 14 days.

DUTCH - SIAGASCOT

Filippo Calanna and Michelangelo Delmedico, SIAGASCOT members, together with two NVA fellows, will visit International Orthopaedic Center in Netherland and Italy for 10 days.

What to do?

Candidates must be registered to SIAGASCOT and be up-to-date with the payment of the 2020-2021 membership fee.

Candidates who want to partecipate to this work experience should submit their application to SIAGASCOT secretary (nives.sagram@siagascot-orto.com)

In the application they must provide, in addition to personal data, also:

The training course,
Professional experience,
The list of scientific presentations and/or poster presentations at congresses in the last three years
A list of all publications and a description of current clinical research or basic science

Also attach the Curriculum Vitae, a JPG photo and a letter of presentation from their Director or Head or an expert orthopedic surgeon.

The titles of three scientific presentations in English (approximately 20 min) that the fellows will wish to present during their scholarship must also be included with the application.

The Secretariat will forward all documents to the SIAGASCOT Fellowship Manager.

WHICH?

ASOCIACIÓN ARGENTINA DE ARTROSCOPÍA

In 2022 the Asociacion Argentina de Artroscopia AAA will host an Italian Fellow for two weeks in its highly qualified Centers, allowing him to get to know the academic, scientific and working reality of the country. The Fellowship takes place in 2022 in conjunction with the AAA National Congress.

The fellowship provides for the coverage of travel and accommodation expenses.

Candidates must be under 40 years of age (not completed as of 31 December 2021).

Candidates must speak fluent English (necessary for communication and for the presentation of their scientific works).

JOSKAS Fellowship

SIAGASCOT and the Japanese Society JOSKAS offer the opportunity for two Fellows, together with their Godfather, to visit Japan's highly qualified Centers in 2023.

This allows them to know the academic, scientific and working reality of the host country.

The fellowship is expected to begin in the period of the Joskas National Congress 2023 and provides for the coverage of travel and accommodation expenses.

Candidates must be under 40 years of age (not completed as of 31 December 2021).

Candidates must speak fluent English (necessary for communication and for the presentation of their scientific works).

FORTE SUMMER SCHOOL

Scholarships reserved for young MEMBERS specializing in Orthopedics and Traumatology, to participate in the FORTE Summer School Course. The scholarship covers enrollment, travel and living expenses.

Call for 4-6 Italian fellows.

GOTS - SIAGASCOT

SIAGASCOT organizes a two-week stay every two years to allow its young members to broaden their knowledge and compare their ideas with those who have a long and recognized international clinical and scientific experience. In 2022, young people will visit the GOTS centers of excellence in the second half of the year. The scholarship covers travel and subsistence expenses.

Candidates must be under 40 years of age (not completed as of 31 December 2021).

Candidates must speak fluent English (necessary for communication and for the presentation of their scientific works).

"PAOLO AGLIETTI", "MARIO RANDELLI" AND "RENATO VIOLA" AWARDS

Three new awards that SIAGASCOT has decided to create for young colleagues in memory of three great masters of Italian orthopedics.

Professor Paolo Aglietti is considered one of the fathers of knee surgery in the world.

Professor Mario Randelli was the founder of the Italian school of shoulder surgery and arthroscopy as well as a prestigious national and international point of reference in the field of shoulder surgery.

Dr. Renato Viola was one of the first Italian orthopedists who helped to spread the arthroscopy technique in the treatment of some knee pathologies.

These awards will be awarded annually during the SIAGASCOT International Streaming Festival to the best presentation identified in the three categories: Shoulder, Knee and Arthroscopy.
