Dr Pratiti Mandal joins us IICB, Kolkata as our lab`s first postdoc (IPDF). She has expertise on cancer cell metabolism, metabolic pathways of renal cell carcinoma in cell culture and mouse model. Welcome Pratiti to the lab!

Dr Palei delivered invited seminar on "Development of protein chemical biology toolbox for tailor-made regulation of their biological functions" at five-day workshop on Proteins and Clinical Proteomics for Health and Disease (PCPHD-2025), Department of Chemistry, NIT Rourkela (3-7 November).

Nandini, Sonia, Souvik and Arun, PhD students from our lab also attended the PCPHD-2025 workshop to get hands on experience with various biophysical methods for characterization of biomolecules.

Dr Palei was awarded two Emerging Frontiers in Biotechnology Research Grants from Department of Biotechnology (DBT) for 3 years "to develop a new platform for directed evolution using synthetic cells (as a PI)" and "developing an intein based methods for production of therapeutic peptides (as a Co-PI)". Congratulations!

Dr Palei was awarded Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PM ECRG) from Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) for 3 years to develop molecular tools for studying histone post-translational modification. Congratulations!

Palei lab wishes everyone Merry-Christmas and Happy New Year 2025.

Dr Palei co-organized and participated in twenty-first edition of Modern Trend in Inorganic Chemistry (MTIC-XXI) at IIT Kharagpur on December 14-17, 2024. MTIC one of the largest inorganic chemistry conference in India.

Dr Palei was awarded "EMBO Registration Fee Waiver grant" to attend EMBO Chemical Biology 2024 workshop (binannual) in Heidelberg, Germany 9-12 Sept 2024 virtually. EMBO Chemical Biology conference is one of the most prestigious and leading conference in Chemical Biology. Congratulations!

Our group`s first publication from IIT Kharagpur entitled "Synthesis, SAR, and application of JQ1 analogs as PROTACs for cancer therapy" in Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry journal. Congratulations to all authors!
