This page provides the most up to date information about Minnesota institutions that are eligible for students to participate in the PSEO program

How to Apply

  1. Watch this video to learn about the PSEO program.

  2. Determine which institution you would like to apply to. SCSU and SCTCC are the two programs we most commonly work with at SHS. If there are other schools you are interested in, please refer to the colleges website or meet with your counselor to get help.

  3. Carefully review the process outlined on the institution's webpage as to how to apply. Click the links below for information about SCSU and SCTCC specifically.

  4. Counselors will send your transcript and application materials to the respective college. After that, you will need to communicate with the college directly. You will receive communication from them via mail or email. Deadlines are strict.

  5. If you have questions about what courses will count for graduation requirements at the high school, please be sure to meet with your counselor before summer break or prior to spring registration. Counselors have varied hours in the summer and cannot guarantee a timely response.

  6. Students will learn how to register from the PSEO Advisor at the college. After you have registered, you must share a copy of your schedule with the SHS Counseling Office so we can adjust your high school schedule.

  7. PSEO classes do not count towards the Scholars of Distinction Awards at Graduation. We do not control the curriculum so those courses will not count.
