“The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth.”
From my Master’s program onward, the very meaning of celebrating Teacher’s Day underwent a significant transformation. It evolved from a symbolic gesture of appreciation into an active, immersive pedagogical experience. As part of this initiative, students in the department engage in the complete academic process conceptualizing and delivering lectures, designing teasers, creating PowerPoint presentations, producing videos, organizing quizzes, and even preparing certificates.
This hands-on involvement not only deepened our understanding of teaching as a craft but also highlighted the inseparable link between education and technology in the contemporary era. Working with digital tools became not merely an added skill but a necessary extension of academic practice. Through this integration, we learned how knowledge can be made more accessible, engaging, and far-reaching.
Thus, Teacher’s Day, for me, became not just a day of gratitude, but a space of intellectual growth where learning, creativity, and technological competence come together to shape us as future educators.
