Running on July 24, 2017. To my total surprise, I did a 5k running workout and felt it in the back of my shoulder. The pain was light but consistent during the run. If I did not concentrate on it, I would not feel it. It was a small discomfort or light ache, but I could feel its presence by putting my attention. I think it should not be there. The last time I felt something similar (actually more painful) was when I got re-injured 1 year ago. I am worried of this! This was 2 days after after prematurely doing the laird hamilton video (banded Y's and weighted internal rotation),+ the Osteopath massage that made me a little sore too.
Overhead Carries hurts shoulder area. Even with very light weight (4kg each side like on video) shoulder gets tired quickly and the angle of shoulder opening begins to close and pain starts increasing in shoulder. See my video on the right (did this recently mid July 2017 and feel something achey)
During "banded arches" or when "presssing chest to wall" in a handstand (Gymnastics body Thoracic Mobility), I have discomfort on the back of the shoulder near marked circular area, only on the side of injured shoulder (right shoulder). Have been doing this during June and July 2017.
Above you can see the area of my RIGHT shoulder which has pain and discomfort doing those exercises
Doing an Arch Hold and arch push ups, I have discomfort on the inside of my elbow, only on the side of injured shoulder (right arm). Done this recently mid July 2017
While Freestyle Swimming, During the catch phase and the pull phase.
If I swim short distance fast and explosive, I feel I can damage something.
Could have a strange sharp achey pain.
If I swim slow or normal speed, everything feels ok.
(It has been 6 months (Jan. 2017) I have NOT tried swimming) And 1. 5 years (Jan 2016) I have not tried swimming fast
When Rowing fast and explosive i feel i can get injured easily here. If I row at an intense pace, the next day I have some pain and discomfort (have NOT done this intensely in 6 months, only lightly- since Jan. 2017). There was a period in 2016 (post-injury), when I did a workout consisiting of swimming, rowing and pushups and my shoulder felt really good . Tried it once at the end of 2016 and was not good at all. So I stopped re-trying.
I got RE-INJURED about 1 year ago- (July 2016) doing this movement. (have not done this movement ever again)
I got RE-INJURED doing toes-to-bar in the same shoulder location. I thought I had healed but did an excessive volume of this movement. Pain in neck and traps and shoulder. (have not done this movement kipping in at least 1 year-July 2016. I have tried it strict a few times)
I do not feel confident doing kipping pull-ups. Only very strict slow pull-ups are possible at the moment. Actually just doing banded scap pullups. (have not done this in at least over 2 years- July 2015)
this movement is also a bit unstable fot he shoulders and neck position becomes awkward. (have not done this again in 1 year- since July 2016)
Deadlifting heavy weights can cause soreness the day after in the shoulder. (have not done this in 1 year since July 2016)
When doing a heavy or explosive power clean, can make traps tight, the next day and soreness in all neck shoulder area. (have not done this in 1 year- since July 2016)
In the recent past I got RE-INJURED in the shoulder when doing Heavy Farmers Carry. This, I believe accentuated a dropped shoulder and I beleive Created more assymetry in the torso. (Have not done this in over 1 year- since July 2016)
This arm position is not that comfortable in the right shoulder. (Have not done this in 1 year- since July 2016)
This was the movement I was doing when I got injured. But each step was more distant than the one in the photo (have not done his again in 3 years)
