Watch a great an informative presentation here (starting at 14:40) from Yago Cura a Bilingual Outreach Librarian on some of the FREE resources available through the Los Angeles Public Library (online tutoring, sidewalk service for books, movies, tv shows, audiobooks, ebooks, events and more!) . You can see the presentation slides or see the links from the presentation below.
Every student in LAUSD was issued a LAPL Student Success Card and can use it to access these services (or just use your regular library card). If you don't know if you have a card, or you don't know your cards' number please contact LAPL for assistance. They want to help, so please reach out to them!
LAPL Events for kids (new events daily)!
Pick up books (up to 30!) using the Library to Go Service. Closest libraries to the school that are available for pick up are the Mar Vista Branch and Westchester Branch.

E-Media & Digital Content - movies, videos, television resources, e-books and audiobooks. Here are some of my favorites:
Libby/Overdrive - a free app where you can borrow ebooks, digital audiobooks and magazines from your public library. You can stream books with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is a library card.
Hoopla - a digital media service offered by your local public library that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! Free with your library card.
Kanopy - Watch over 30000 Documentaries, Classic and Indie Films. Free with your library card.
LAPL has so much more to offer. If you need any help locating resources or have any questions please reach out to them. They would love to help!
