Prior to Launch Week and all throughout the season, we send out email newsletters that highlight participating brands. Each e-blast will highlight a small portion of our participants, usually focused on a theme. During Launch Week, 9 editorial Stories will be released ( 3 per day). After Launch Week, we will continue to create unique product round-ups that are released in the form of email newsletters and Stories on the Shoppe Object website –– both on the homepage and in the Shoppe Talk blog. Please see below for more information on the Stories you may tag your products to this season. We also highlight brands regularly on Instagram.
As a season-long, ongoing event we aim to spread the love equitably throughout the season. Unlike other platforms that use algorithms to feature “best selling” products or “favorite” brands, we take an editorial approach that focuses on great imagery from brands large and small throughout the season. Please do not be discouraged if you are not selected for one particular marketing opportunity, as there will be many over the course of the six month season. The most important thing you can do to be included in our marketing is to submit high quality lifestyle images, appropriately sized for the internet and without an overlay of text or brand graphics, early and often. Please use the link below to submit images as they become available.
We’ve said it before and it bears repeating –– our greatest strength lies in the high quality of our diverse offerings, and the combined reach of our collective efforts! YOU are a key part of that collective effort, and your customers and fans will look to you for guidance as to where to travel and shop this season. We encourage you to market your participation in Shoppe Object early and often, through your social media, through email marketing, through direct mail marketing, and through live appointments on the road or in your showrooms and studios. We will provide you with assets to use in those efforts, but we also know you are the most creative, innovative and talented brands, designers and makers in the industry. As such, you may very well choose to design your own approach to marketing. Either way, your efforts will not go unnoticed!

We maintain editorial control of all Shoppe Object channels, and rely heavily on imagery and content shared by you. We do our best all year long to present a balanced, comprehensive, and high quality editorial representation of the exciting brands that make up our community, with a keen eye toward increased registration and engagement. As mentioned above, please make sure you keep us updated with your freshest images and media, and nudge connect@shoppeobject.com with any significant updates that you feel may be beneficial to our efforts.
Please create a LIVE link to house and store your database of approved, shareable marketing materials + lifestyle images. File sharing formats without download time constraints, such as Dropbox, GoogleDrive, and The Box are preferred. Direct emailing of images or WeTransfer will NOT be accepted, held, or used. We have prepared a host of materials for your use above. You’ll find GIFs, MP4s, Instagram Stories, and so on to market, pitch, and promote to your database. Taxonomy is how your product will be found within different search methods on the Shoppe Online platform. Buyers will find your products in a few different ways. We recommend spending significant time on carefully choosing your product taxonomy as this will be how buyers find your products. Please review the taxonomy section in the Product File page > here < for additional information.
The Stories are the most prolific of our editorial marketing opportunities — photographic product roundups, each based on a unique theme, with a new batch released every day of the virtual event. In order to be included in The Stories you will need to go through them, and hand-select individual products within your assortment that fit into that particular story, tagging them as such. Please be selective; do not tag all of your products in every story, but adhere to an editorial approach that will highlight specific products where they will best shine. Some of them are straight forward and some are more esoteric — have fun, but please be very thoughtful as you tag!
We will be choosing a selection of the best images tagged to each story to create unique editorial posts on the Shoppe Object website. Mixed versions of our editorial posts will be sent out as email newsletters as well. While viewing The Stories, buyers will have the option to "Shop the Story". By clicking on this button, buyers will be taken directly to the Marketplace with a presentation of all products tagged with that particular Story Tag. Linked above are full instructions, as well as the complete list of tags. You will then add any appropriate tags to specific products in the TAGS column in your CSV product file. Please know that you may continue working on this up until the launch week and thereafter. You may always re-upload your product file at any time and it will add any changes you have made to the site.
