Snowshoeing is an excellent and cost effective way to get out to experience nature during the winter months. All excursions are guided and fully equipped with snowshoes, poles and hand warmers for your convenience.
Each of the 3 adventures listed below have options for the first timer or someone who wants a little more challenge! After meeting to discuss the outing, its a short drive to our departure spot. During the hike, you might see deer, rabbits and even fox!

Stepping Stones Trail
This series of loops runs through Mattawa River Provincial Park near North Bay. The trails are easy and meander through the forest between the river and small lakes, with several spots to stop and enjoy the view.
Length 1-3 hours-$50/person
Meet at McEwen Gas, corner of Hwy 17 & 94
Peninsula Ridge
Above 4 Mile Bay on Trout Lake, this series of trails loops up the escarpment. There are a few aggressive sections, but those can be avoided by taking some of the easier trails around through the cedar groves.

Meet at The Portage Restaurant on Peninsula Road off Hwy 63
Canadore Trails
Numerous trails for all experience level from are available in the Canadore trail system. The area offers some great views, narrow trails and spots to stop along the river.
