Serves

The mission of the Shoal Creek Serves Committee is to provide our Shoal Creek Elementary School students and families with community service volunteer opportunities that instill leadership and life skills lessons.

At Shoal Creek, we believe that every child can be a leader. Through Serves, we reinforce this belief by providing service learning opportunities that encourage our students to become leaders in their community.

Family FOOD Pack PROgram

Approximately 19% of all students who attend Liberty Public Schools receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program. These same students and their families often don’t have enough food to eat at home or on the weekends.

Shoal Creek Serves is partnering with Feed Northland Kids to bring quality groceries to families in need. We meet one evening a month at Liberty High School to sort food items and pack bags for roughly 130 families in our community. Students and families who have the time on our food pack nights are encouraged to sign up to help out! Busy those evenings? There are other ways to serve through our food pack program: we accept food donations through fun donation drives throughout the school year, and we can now assist with monetary donations, as well. Feed Northland Kids has the buying power to buy in bulk, which means our dollars go further! If you’d like to make a monetary donation, you can do that in our PTA store here (under the Serves section).
