9 moments was an experimental, durational performance curated by students on the MA Dance and Creative Enterprise course at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds, UK.

This immersive event celebrated different moments in time. Moments of growth, connection, emptiness, sharing. Moments that are ever–changing.

At times, the audience found themselves as witnesses and at times they were the co-creators.

Bringing together a diverse, international cohort, the students collectively drew on their socio-cultural experiences to create a captivating evening of new work. 

My work 'Becoming' was a piece that explored the idea of preparation, presence and practice of becoming the performer. I played with the stereotypical image of an Indian Classical Dancer and invited the gaze of the public on the unglamourous becoming instead.
