Career Plan

With working in the simulation center, I organized and managed events for nursing clinical classes by coordinating with the nursing faculty to prepare the simulation environment. Some equipment that I'm trained in is using SIMIQ (AV Viewer, SIM client), and Laerdal Simulation Mannequins 

I was a recreational Hikes Supervisor at Dominican. In this position, I help plan and execute the weekly hikes. The hikes range throughout Marin County. Some other projects that I have worked on include organizing and implementing a camping trip and a day trip to Angel Island!

I was a tutor through the teaching and learning center at Dominican where I assist students in the Principles of Global Public Health lecture. 

From May-August 2021, I had the opportunity to work as a Nurse Intern through BrightStar Care: In-Home Care. Through this agency, I was placed in a client's home and assisted them in their activities of daily living and personal care. I was able to work with a client with mild dementia and another client on Hospice. With this experience, I practiced my effective and therapeutic communication skills. Collaborating with a Doctor, Nurse, Physical therapist, Occupational therapist, and Social worker taught me about the after-care process of a patient after being discharged from a hospital.
