## 1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Shima Bird ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
## 2. Description of Service
Shima Bird is a Japanese language learning application that provides flashcard-based study tools, grammar lessons, reading materials, and other educational features.
## 3. Account
- You may create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or as a guest.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- Guest accounts are tied to your device. If you delete the app without linking to Google or Apple, your data cannot be recovered.
## 4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
- The App offers an optional premium subscription ("Golden Bird") and in-app token purchases.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings.
- No refunds are provided for the current subscription period upon cancellation.
## 5. User Content
- You may create custom flashcards and mnemonics within the App.
- You retain ownership of content you create.
- By sharing mnemonics publicly (community mnemonics), you grant Shima Bird a non-exclusive license to display that content to other users.
## 6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' data.
- Submit offensive, abusive, or inappropriate content through community features.
## 7. Intellectual Property
- All content provided by the App (kanji data, grammar lessons, illustrations, audio) is owned by Renrei Studio or used under license.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App's content without permission.
## 8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that learning outcomes will be achieved.
## 9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renrei Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
## 10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms.
## 11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
