We will need a starter, swim official, timers, runners, place judges for both home meets.
Timers are needed for both home and away meets. Timers will be given a stopwatch and trained prior to the start of the meet. You are responsible for timing each swim in your assigned lane and recording the swimmer's time on the provided sheet for scoring purposes.
We need runners for home meets only. The runner collects the time cards from each lane at the end of each event and takes them to the score keeper's table.
Starts the meet or watches the swimmers for compliance of all strokes and turn rules. You do not need to be a USA, PIAA or YMCA official to stroke and turn judge for summer swimming. However, the proper training for this position can be gained through specialized training and certification programs or through a one night clinic held at the beginning of the summer.
Records which lane has placed first, second, and third in each event.
