植物の光合成機能を中心とした、環境応答機構、形態形成機構についてシロイヌナズナ、イネ、トウモロコシ、クラミドモナス、ゼニゴケなどのモデル生物を用いて、分子遺伝学、生理学、分子生物学、生化学、細胞生物学などの手法を用いて多面的に研究しています。

The mechanisms of environmental response and morphogenesis of plants, with a focus on photosynthetic functions, are being studied from multiple perspectives using model organisms such as Arabidopsis, rice, maize, Chlamydomonas, and Marchantia, using cutting-edge technologies including molecular genetics, physiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology.
