1. Attendance Policy: The school is open from 8 AM - 5 PM everyday. Instructional lessons, presentations from guests in the community, and school meals occur between the core hours of 10 AM-2 PM so students should always attend during these hours. Otherwise, students and parents create the schedule that works best for their family. The only requirement is that they attend school 25 hours per week (with exceptions made for sick days and extenuating circumstances).
2. Community Engagement Policy: A collective partnership is required by students, parents, and the wider community in school activities and initiatives, fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration. All members of the school ecosystem must help maintain the community garden and participate in at least one community meal per month.
3. Evaluation Policy: Members of the community, including teachers, parents, and administrators, must have one-on-one meetings with the students to discuss their self-evaluation and offer actionable advice focused on growth. This should occur on a regular basis aligned with the student's learning needs.
4. Health and Safety Policy: Guidelines on maintaining a safe and healthy school environment, covering topics such as first aid procedures, emergency evacuation plans, and health protocols.
