Our students have the chance to discover their own interests through self-guided learning. They set their own schedule and choose how long to spend on each subject. The only requirement is that they spend enough hours per week in school. Learning is driven by the students' natural curiosity. They are encouraged to ask questions both to teachers, their parents, and the community to explore their interests and learn about the world.
Our teachers are all multipotentialites who have a range of interests themselves. Like the students, they are also learners, and they demonstrate passion about the intricacies of the world. As critical thinkers with the capacity to relate interdisciplinary topics, they inspire the students to ask more questions and delve into challenges that the students didn't know they were capable of.
Parents are encouraged to participate in their children's learning both inside and outside the classroom. It is important that the students are able to connect their school life and home life, because the goal of our school is to create life-long learners. In order to achieve this, parents are encouraged to ask their children about their learning at school, come see their children's work in progress as well as the finished projects, and celebrate the connections made outside of school.
We believe that learning doesn't only happen between four enclosed walls. Teachers, parents, and administrators at our school use their connections to find experts in the community to present at our school and help out with student led projects. Likewise, students participate in the community, through outreach projects, volunteering, and events.
Our school is as dynamic as the global world and our administration team works hard to keep up with the needs of our students in an ever changing world. Through constant communication with the parents, students, and teachers, the administration team prioritizes student mental health and success.
