FINAL THOUGHTS
I have a profound connection with the music of Johan Johansson. His ability to evoke deep emotions through his melodies is truly remarkable. This inspiration led me to create a game that explores the complex feelings of apathy, emptiness, and fragmentation. Specifically, the track "Pynnkudagur" by Johan Johansson played an essential role in shaping the atmosphere I wanted to achieve. This project was a significant creative journey for me, pushing me to confront my own feelings and delve into topics such as self-discovery and mental health. I can genuinely say it’s my proudest work to date. Developing this game has given me an incredible sense of fulfillment, one that I once thought was out of reach. It’s this passion for storytelling that drives my desire to make video games, allowing players to carve out their own unique narratives based on their personal experiences. During the design process, I encountered several challenges, but rather than deter me, they fueled my determination. Each obstacle became an opportunity for growth, guiding me to innovate and build upon my original ideas. I hope that this game will offer players a deeper understanding of themselves. I poured my heart and soul into this project, working harder than I ever have before, and I relished every moment of the struggle. Through this journey, I've learned that brilliant concepts often start as simple ones, and it’s the willingness to explore new avenues that transforms them into impactful experiences. I'm genuinely excited about the potential of this game and can't wait to share it with others, as it reflects the essence of our quest for self-understanding in a wonderfully engaging way.
