'A' GRAVEL
Granular A gravel is a manufactured mixture of sand & crushed rock 3/4” in diameter and smaller. Silt content is under 8% to allow for drainage.
COMMON USES:
Used for the surface of roadways, parking areas & driveways. Can also be used in under slab of residential, commercial and industrial floors.
'B' GRAVEL
Granular B gravel is a blend of sand and stone. It contains stone ranging from 2” down to sand.
COMMON USES:
Used as a base material for building roadways, parking areas and driveways. Backfill around concrete walls for industrial, commercial buildings.
SCREENED SAND
Premium quality sand - fine washed and screened.
COMMON USES:
Commonly used for laying cable, conduit, gas lines, water pipes, and septic beds. Also used as a base under pool liners, in children’s sandboxes, to top up horseshoe pits & between interlocking patio stones.
NATURAL STONE SCREENINGS
This fine crushed gravel is more environmentally friendly & provides better drainage than limestone screenings. It compacts to 2/3 of its original depth.
COMMON USES:
It is used as a base material for laying interlocking stone, retaining walls and patio slabs.
SEPTIC STONE
A 1.5" clear natural round stone product – no fines mixed in.
COMMON USES:
Suitable for drainage, septic beds and French drains.
3/4" DRAIN STONE
A screened and washed natural round stone product.
COMMON USES:
Used as a drainage medium around
sub-drain pipe, under concrete slabs & under decks.
3/8" PEA STONE
Pea gravel is small rounded stones, around 3/8” in size.
COMMON USES:
Used as landscaping or garden stone, drainage stone, ground cover, in walkways, playgrounds, or dog runs.
1/2" GRANITE
Decorative stone that is pink and black in colour. Some pieces may sparkle.
COMMON USES:
They will create a dramatic, natural effect when used in gardens, ponds and stream beds as well as around trees, walkways, driveways and patios.
2"-4" RIVER STONE
Decorative landscaping stone that has a smooth, rounded texture & a range of natural colours including shades of brown, gray, tan, black & pink. Sourced from rivers & streams where they have been naturally smoothed over time by water erosion. (mixed colour pebbles) This premium-coloured stone is shipped in from North Bay.
