My name is Megan and I am a stay at home mom to two cute girls and wife to an awesome husband. I grew up in Virginia, but since leaving for college in 2003 I have lived in well over 9 homes across 5 states. I earned my BS in Neuroscience and MA in Bioethics and spent about 10 years working on clinical research trials before having my oldest daughter and deciding to stay home.

I have been knitting for about 20 years and learned one summer from my Grandma on our annual summer trip to her house. I started getting more serious about knitting at the end of college while living in Utah, and then got even more into it when living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I found my first LYS (local yarn store) in Wisconsin and also attended my first fiber festival in Madison while living there.

When my husband's schooling moved us to California I found a shop where someone was always "sitting and knitting" and would frequently take classes there or hang out to learn new skills. After moving to rural New York I again turned to knitting and started attending various fiber festivals in the area including Rhinebeck (New York Sheep and Wool), The Fingerlakes Fiber Festival, and several in Buffalo. I also started taking online knitting classes around that time.

When my husband's job moved us yet again to Virginia one of the first things I did was reach out to the Shenandoah Knitting Guild and attend a meeting. I am an avid supporter of the fiber arts and love knitting, but also dabble in sewing on occasion. In my "spare" time I enjoy running, reading, dancing, playing the piano, and walking my miniature poodle Percy.
