Department of Nutrition and Food EngineeringFaculty of Allied Health Sciences, Daffodil International University 4/2 Sobhanbagh, Mirpur Road, DhanmondiDhaka-1207, Bangladesh.Academician and Regulator with the expertise of protein engineering, protein expression, purification and characterization, cell culture, food development & analyses, nutritional biochemistry, public health related research, regulatory research and molecular biological techniques for the discovery of antibody based next generation cancer therapeutics. Expertise on cDNA cloning using both the traditional primer and duplexed DNA methods, sequencing, qPCR, rtPCR and western blots to investigate the effectiveness of the nanoformulated therapeutics on cancer cells and mouse models.
He is serving Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority as Senior Scientific Officer since August 2022. In addition he plays the role of research proposal and progress evaluator of the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Training on Applied Nutrition (BIRTAN) and adjunct associate professor of the Department of Textile Engineering of BUBT.
He served Bangladesh Forest Research Institute (BFRI) as senior research officer.
He served the Daffodil International University (DIU) as associate professor, head of the department of Nutrition and Food Engineering, deputy director (research). He taught the students majoring NFE, Pharmacy, Textile Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. He served the International Standard University and Bangladesh Open University as Adjunct Associate Professor.
He achieved his B Sc and M S degree in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry of University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His undergraduate research was performed at Material Chemistry Research Laboratory of University of Dhaka. He achieved the Doctor of Life Science degree from the Laboratory of Biomolecular Adaptation Science of Graduate School of Life Science, Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan with the financial aid of the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT). His devotion to research and the scholastic supervision of Professor Sakae Tsuda offered him the opportunity to publish high impact journals (for example PNAS USA) with unique findings. Which helped him to be selected as AIST-RA and pursue his postdoctoral research in the Department of Biological engineering in TUFTS University, MA, USA and Neurology Research Division of Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. His postdoctoral studies were focused on introducing non-canonical amino acids to prepare specific inhibitors for metzincin and nano-formulation of drugs for the in vivo and in vitro studies on mouse models of Glioma.
