He has been serving the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority as a Senior Scientific Officer in the Radiation Transport and Waste Safety Division since August 2022. He serves as the focal point for the BSW-ISU team and the SDG/LDC of BAERA. In addition, he serves the Department of Life Sciences at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) as an Adjunct Associate Professor. He also served the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Training on Applied Nutrition (BIRTAN) as a research proposal and progress evaluator, and as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Textile Engineering at BUBT.
He served the Bangladesh Forest Research Institute (BFRI) as a senior research officer.
He served Daffodil International University (DIU) as associate professor, head of the Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering, and deputy director (research). He taught students majoring in NFE, Pharmacy, Textile Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. He served at the International Standard University and the Bangladesh Open University as an Adjunct Associate Professor.
He earned his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His undergraduate research was performed at the Material Chemistry Research Laboratory of the University of Dhaka. He earned the Doctor of Life Science degree from the Laboratory of Biomolecular Adaptation Science at the Graduate School of Life Science, Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, with financial aid from the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT). His devotion to research and the scholastic supervision of Professor Sakae Tsuda enabled him to publish in high-impact journals (for example, PNAS USA) with unique findings. This helped him to be selected as an AIST-RA and pursue his postdoctoral research in the Department of Biological Engineering at Tufts University, MA, USA, and the Neurology Research Division of Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. His postdoctoral studies were focused on introducing non-canonical amino acids to prepare specific inhibitors for metzincin and nano-formulation of drugs for in vivo and in vitro studies on mouse models of Glioma.
