There are many ways to format and organize a spreadsheet. You can manually format each row and cell but a powerful tool in Google Sheets is conditional formatting. You can format cells, rows, and columns automatically based on specific conditions that you set.
There are a variety of rules that you can select from to create a formatting condition.
To add a preset conditional formatting rule:
Click Format in the menu bar at the top of the sheet.
Select Conditional Formatting from the drop-down menu.
The conditional format rules window will appear at the right.
Change the Apply to Range values so it matches the cell, row, or column that you want the rule to apply to.
Select the rule type that you would like to create.
Choose the formatting (font, bold, fill color etc) that you want to occur according to the rule that you set.
Click OK
