Job Description:
Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging and labelling pharmaceuticals.
Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medications and cost to maintain pharmacy files, charge system and inventory.
Assays medications to determine identity, purity and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy program.
one years of hospital experience preferred. (optional)
Age: 25-35 years
Having General knowledge of policies and practices involved in Pharmaceuticals functions.
Strong clinical knowledge of prescriptions drug products, dosage forms and drug classification types.
Training: Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be useful.

JOB EVALUATION:
According to national civil payscale 2015 in Bangladesh this job is 6th -grade job and the basic salary for this job starts from 18500 and up to 29700 Taka. It includes also
travelling expenses (10% of the base salary),
house rent allowance (12% of the base salary),
provident fund (6% of the base salary),
festival bonus (20% of the base salary) and
medical allowance (15% of the base salary) etc.
