200 Word Audience Grabber
Everyone has heard the saying put your money where your mouth is. Well, one author John MacIntosh is asking that of his readers. Today I will be reviewing his article, "I'm part of the 1%. We need to acknowledge that the deck has been stacked in our favor." I found this article on the CNN news website and thought it was interesting. It touches on social justice that many people think about it goes beyond the realm of race or gender. In this article, the author addresses the wealthy top 1%. He attempts to reach his audience in hopes of getting them to pay higher taxes. His stand is they made millions of dollars under a presidency they didn't support. Now it's time for them to put their money where their mouth is and support this new president to bring unity and fix what's broken in society. In this podcast, I will attempt to rhetorically analyze his methods and how well he uses his rhetorical devices. I will be addressing his main point, his tone, diction, ethos, and pathos appeals. Will the author be able to reach his targeted audience? Did he use his rhetorical devices correctly? Take a few minutes and listen to my podcast and see how well MacIntosh did?
