About Me
Mr. Shattuck
About Mr. Shattuck: Hi! I am Mr. Doug Shattuck. This is my third year teaching at St. Joe's as the 4-8th grade science & technology/engineering (STE) teacher and the fifth grade homeroom teacher.
Education: I received my primary education at St. John the Evangelist School in Cincinnati Ohio followed by high school at Archbishop Moeller High School, also in Cincinnati. After high school I professed as a member of the Sons of Mary Missionary Society in Framingham MA but left before taking final vows.
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Boston College, and an MST in Biochemistry with additional graduate work in geology and geophysics. Also, I earned an MBA in Technology Management, at Boston College.
Goal for students: I would like every student to be able to work independently, identify problems and challenges, research options, and conduct investigations that develop insight and understanding.
