Classroom guidance lessons are an integral part of the School Counseling Program at Sharp Elementary. My lessons often correlate with the monthly character trait of the month. For grades K-2 I deliver my lessons based on the program, Jelly Bean Jamboree. This program includes a variety of jellybean colors that represent different character traits. For example Friendly Francine, The Neighborly Pink Jellybean visits when we discuss the character trait kindness. She is a very friendly jellybean, shares with others, and fills others buckets with kind words and good deeds. The kids get very excited when I walk into their classroom, eager to find out which jelly bean friend is visiting their classroom! Ask your child which Jellybean friend most recently visited their classroom and what they learned from them!
