My name is Sharon Dorsey and I am an urban naturalist, birder, hiker, and educator based in Baltimore, MD. I love exposing people to the beauty and ecological functions of nature in their own backyard. I have gained experiences working with student groups (elementary to college), non-profit organizations, as well as in professional research societies. Not one to ever sit still, I'm always seeking new projects to get involved with that are mutually beneficial to my learning and sharing my expertise with others!

Knowledge is no good when it's kept to yourself - so I love participating in outreach and teaching people new things about the environment and ecological systems! I've performed outreach projects in a variety of formats from in-person community events to creating social media content to public speaking engagements. 

At SharInNature, L.L.C., we foster deeper connections to the environment through immersive nature experiences, offering environmental education, mentorship for future conservation leaders, and engaging BIPOC communities in participatory science. Our mission is to inspire curiosity, promote stewardship, and create inclusive outdoor spaces that contribute to a sustainable future.
