My participation in environmental-based outreach projects has a significant impact on the individuals and communities as well as on my personal growth. These projects provide opportunities for the audience to develop a sense of environmental responsibility, gain awareness about pressing issues, and contribute to building a more sustainable and healthier future for both themselves and the planet. In turn, I am improving my leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
From in-person speaking events to content creation on social media, I love the versatility and wide reach of science communication opportunities.
By connecting with students, families, and community members I hope to leave an impact and show that EVERYONE has a right to explore the outdoors and pursue a career in natural resources.
