This whole place in video below will soon be turned into Healing Hearts Art Studio (estimated 12/2025- 6/2026) which will be under the umbrella Healing Hearts Carroll – Mental Health Therapy Follow Healing Hearts Art Studio on Facebook for tons of photos of progress of space turning into art studio. Workshop ideas, memorial art, and many more on other pages of this website of ideas.
Some of my home art supplies, below, but could be taken to a larger space, do not fit in current space. I have supplies for recovery, birthday, sympathy, get well, Mother's Day, Father's Day, all major holidays, seasons, animals, flowers, inspirational, and encouraging stamps. Supplies include multiple wax seal stamps, embossing machines, craft punches, large laminator, button press, and more. Picture on right is old apartment and would LOVE those shelves again in a larger space.
Carroll County Public Library has 423 sets of stamps participants could borrow too!

History
Back in 2021, the idea of a non-profit suicide prevention of using art as a catalyst for hope with positive messages and community building art workshops arose as Share Hope through Art and idea of a location was originally Share Hope Art Studio. Judith Viers was not able to find funding to make achievable or sustainable and was given advise to renew her social work license, practice as a therapist, find a place that would let her do art. Well, I followed the great advice, found Healing Hearts Carroll, LLC therapy practice. My amazing boss is letting me use our current location when staff move (early/mid-November 2025- June 2026 when lease expires July) to try the same idea. I'm rebranding since my boss's business, for profit, but also hope to partner with existing non-profits to help make available to all as Healing Hearts Art Studio and find it is the exact same heart but goes more Indepth with availability of licensed therapist and now a medication provider.
Yesterday, 9/19/2025, learned I should be able to accept Medicaid, Medicare, Cigna, Carefirst, BlueCross BlueShield for individual, family, and group therapy.
The goal is also to accept workshops for all including those who do not have time for ongoing therapy or have a diagnosable clinical need. Also, to have uplifting place for fun events as well. Healing Hearts Art Studios can provide art workshops that are designed to enhance self-esteem, strengthen coping skills, psycho-education, ways to combat negative self-talk, have skills to deal with anxiety, depression, and ways to grow from loss as well as volunteer opportunities/ workshops to do outreach with positive uplifting cards, painted rocks, television show/ media and more.
My current boss/ business owner at Healing Hearts Carroll is open to upgrade space to include an art studio space (but we are seeing if it financial makes sense AND if would benefit the community/ be utilized. Our current space I can do workshops and groups on Mondays (when no other clinicians are in office/ telehealth). If own space, may be Healing Hearts Art Studio or Share Hope Art Studio. I've never cared about the name of anything, only the purpose of reaching the community to share hope and healing.
I do think would be amazing if location was at a church that was open and accepting of all. I do not want to be in charge of billing insurance, current boss open to me having a larger pilot office. I think someone who specializes in taxes would need to be involved Budgets & Billing: Making Church Therapy Work – Church Therapy Associates but also My church wants to have a for profit counseling and social work practice rent office space from us but fall under the or could I work for a for profit, have funds go to my Share Hope through Art fund under Carroll Community Foundation than be paid a W2 salary and ideally also have funds to cover art supplies... .Hmmm... Then again, my boss may be able to get a bigger space, but some churches can fit over 60 people around tables.
Current Space (1/ day a week, Monday):
Workshops/ groups for memorial art grief therapy with larger groups, all other workshops, it would be great to work with special needs, youth, domestic violence programs, those homebound/ seniors, Veterans, autism programs, neurodivergent programs, Safe Families (family-coach), Judy Center (0-Pre-k program) purpose expanded for the K-12th grade on parent/guardian- child bonding, blended families bonding, support groups for foster care youth and adopted youth, reunification, and more. We could potentially let local outreaches like Support | Hope Rising Resource Center | Sykesville use space or be a Mental Health Hubs - NAMI Metro Baltimore. We could potentially do more episodes of Share Hope through Art local tv show (filming while also making art (Community Media Center) and talking about insights into mental health, possibly legacy work or honoring a loved one to preserve memories). I can also have access of art supplies as an individual, couple, family therapist.
Card outreach program can continue! Different groups making cards for other others, especially Carroll Hospital:-)
*Space requirements: handicap accessible with nearby parking to reach those in wheelchairs, crutches, canes, physical limitations and also for parents/guardians with strollers.
Larger Space:
If we move offices and designated Healing Hearts Art Studio (or Share Hope through Art Studio). I'd be interested in potentially using similar model of local arts center to other licensed clinicians and interns so others can rent space and do therapy as well. They would have to be approved by owner/self and trained. I would love to partner with programs who have college interns in social work, counseling, teaching, special needs, education, film making/ cinematography, and more.
Potential to partner with a local jobs training program that works with special needs (program like Target or other similar program) where their participants with help could lead birthday parties, 4H, scouts, Boys and Girls Club, religious groups, smaller reunions, bridal showers, baby showers, other therapeutic organizations could lead their own therapy groups renting space, etc. It would be great to partner with Health Department and other local agencies and businesses in Westminster. It would be amazing if could be a place to host a weekly Home - Celebrate Recovery group in Westminster or wherever location is. The option of hosting a weekly or monthly women's group or other support group could be an option. It would be great to have BE KIND Sign/ Infinite Love Project workshops.
We could also partner to have volunteer hours set into schedule, which is requirement for high school graduation, where youth could volunteer to help maintain space, help others, and/or make art (cards, bookmarks, flyers, painted rocks) to giveaway to our community.
Growth Idea beyond A Larger Space:
I believe this vision of a shared community art studio of clinicians, social workers, and interns has the potential to be reach many more people and has the potential to be "franchised" like Franchise Opportunities | Board & Brush DIY Wood Sign Workshop; more appropriately duplicated, with different regions personalizing concept to their own local community, making own local partnerships, but ideas shared freely. (FYI, I did contact local Board & Brush to see if daytime use option, didn't hear back, but would definitely maximize usage of space).
Below is our current space that connects with 3 therapy office, so can only use when no other clinicians working.
