Cyanotype
Cyanotype
This series of cyanotype prints explores landscape as both place and pattern—an evolving terrain shaped by light, time, and repetition. Each print begins with a base image of a landscape, layered with patterns and shapes that are also interchangeable, allowing for a dynamic play between permanence and transformation.
The use of cyanotype—a process rooted in exposure and time—mirrors the idea of change inherent in natural environments. Patterns overlaid on the landscapes shift between organic and geometric, evoking both natural growth and human influence. Like the landscapes themselves, these compositions are never fixed; they are reimagined through combinations that suggest new perspectives, rhythms, and emotional tones.
By working with interchangeable elements, I am interested in how the same place can appear differently depending on context—how memory, pattern, and perception alter our sense of space. Each print is one possible iteration in a series of infinite visual conversations between form and environment.
