Artist Bio
I am a visual artist and art educator. My personal art practice spans printmaking, alternative photography methods and mixed media. With a BFA in Visual Arts specializing in printmaking and an MA in Poverty and Development, my work reflects both a formal exploration of process and a deep engagement with social context.
For eight years, I taught in public schools, nurturing creativity in young artists while continuing my own creative journey. My background in letterpress printing also informs my approach to printmaking, as I embrace the medium’s inherent potential for variation. Using color and layered imagery, to investigate repetition, transformation, and play.
I love capturing raw, dreamlike moments through the lens of a Holga camera. This has continued my exploration of imperfection, chance, and the beauty found in everyday life.
For the last 8 years my focus and creative energy has gone to teaching in 4 different elementary schools. I am proud of what I was able to create with my students. Every year we held an art night where students were able to show their work. We were able to create projects that involved the whole school, where each student made a piece that was part of a larger instillation.
