Far East Plaza

Far East Plaza is one of the older shopping complexes attracting a younger crowd for its great bargains and hip designs. Tourists come here for affordable cameras and different type of accessories. Though you won't find any well-known brands here, there are unique clothes and shoes that are worth checking out. There are some souvenir and art shops at the mall - Kwok Gallery is well-known for porcelain ornaments and jade sculptures.

• Ngee Ann City/Takashimaya

Ngee Ann City is a staple of Orchard Road and has seven levels and more than 100 specialty stores including Cartier,Calvin Klein,Hugo Boss and others. Its wide Orchard Road frontage makes it one of the most prominent landmarks along Orchard Road. It stand out ever year because of its stunning Christmas tree. Takashimaya is a book lover's dream because it houses Kinokuniya ,which is Southeast Asia's largest bookstore with 40,000 square feet of store space!

• Tangs

Tangs is one of the oldest department stores in Orchard Road and it is considered to be "Selfridges" of Singapore . It has a unique Chinese architecture and sells a wide variety of items.Its perfume section and the home section in the basement are famed and worth checking out . If you are interested in baking, then you are going to love the home section as it has a wide range of baking products.

• Lucky Plaza

If you want to get the cheapest souvenirs in Singapore, go to Lucky Plaza! There are many stores here where you will get great bargains. No luxury stores or eateries here except for some jewelry stores. On Sundays Lucky Plaza is really crowded as many domestic helpers meet here on their day off.

Mustafa is one of the busiest shopping places in Singapore. They carry a wide range of goods, many of which cannot be found elsewhere. This is the only 24 hour shopping center in Singapore that we know of.There is a saying that nobody comes back empty handed from Mustafa.

Funan digital mall

is a good place for no-haggle to minimal haggle electronics shopping. It is closed for renovations.

Sim Lim square

is a busy shopping center that sells electronics. Be prepared to haggle and go with a thick skin.

The Adelphi mall

is a good place to go for home audio equipment.

Bugis street

market is a nice place for cheap touristy items, as is Far East Plaza near Orchard road.

China town

Pagoda street is next to China town MRT and a good place for tourist items.

Arab street

has carpets, silks, perfumes and even a few middle east curios not to mention middle eastern food.It is also popular with Bangladeshi ladies for very beautiful lace saris.Many NRBs who visit Singapore give the feedback that carpets from Arab Street are worth buying as there are a lot of variety at reasonable prices.

This fast-food chain from the Philippines is extremely popular and serves one of the best fast-food fried chicken in Orchard Road. Their fried chicken is crispy and juicy – perfect for a quick bite.
