CAPS is the center for Counseling and Psychological Services at SFSU. CAPS works to provide emotional relief for students due to a variety of reasons. If you are feeling intense emotional distress and think you may be experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 (the suicide and crisis lifeline), 911, or visit the nearest emergency room.
If you feel that you are experiencing a mental health criss and cannot wait for a regularly scheduled appointment, please see this link. You will be seen at the first available appointment for an emergency consultation with a crisis counselor.

LBGTQ+ and Questioning Drop in is a group for those apart of the community. This group is a safe space and covers a wide range of topics. Please see the above link for more information on how to join.
Managing My Moods, A Depression Workshop Series is a workshop designed to equip individuals with techniques to cope with their depression. Please see the above link for more information and details on how to join this workshop.

Let's Talk Meetings are brief, informal meetings with a counselor to discuss your concerns or troubles. Let's Talk Meetings do not substitute formal counseling, but they can be extremely beneficial to you. Please see the above link for more details and information on how to schedule.
The Peggy H. Smith Graduate Training Clinic provides mental health services for SFSU students from second year trainees in the masters program in the Department of Counseling at SFSU.
