sféra

Focussing on the 15th and 16th century repertoire we keep in mind that most of this music was performed for various occasions such as secular and sacred social gatherings that are now just as important as back then. This motivates us to play in bars, cafés and churches, trains and in nature. By interaction, communication and harmonics we dive into a time-relative space. We are dedicated to provide and enjoy this unconditional presence both for ourselves and for the public.

We explore the possibilities of our consort recorders and have developed our own approach to polyphony, in historic performance research and in the 21st century. Within collaborations and cooperations with the composers´ collective facere we are embracing (physical) movement, improvisation, voice, language and spatial dimensions.

We are actively creating our own sphere,  by sharing aesthetic ideas, manuscript screenshots, cultural backgrounds, laughs, pencils and mensural notation skills and welcome anyone who wants to explore this sféra with us.
